The Thunder Core team is happy to announce the beta release of Thunder 7. Thunder 7 is based on Drupal 10, and the most striking new features are certainly the bright and modern Gin backend theme and the use of the Media Library to manage media data.

Thunder goes headless! The latest release of our distribution comes with one of the coolest features we've had in a long time: Thunder now has an official API for headless and decoupled approaches. The API uses a custom GraphQL schema based on the GraphQL module version 4.

There is a new Thunder release: With it, we drastically improve the sitemap generation, simplify the image upload a bit and are finally ready for PHP 8!

DrupalCon Europe was a digital event this year, but it was still an experience - with all the fun stuff. Our biggest highlight was of course the session on “4 years of Thunder: Why Hubert Burda Media went for open source”.
