Thunder 3 is coming: Over the past few months, the team has been working on this major release, which includes several innovations. Before the release, we have therefore organized a webinar with all important information, which you can watch here. We have also summarized the news for you to read.

In the past months the Thunder Core Team has primarily been working on one thing: Thunder 3. And now that it is almost complete we are looking forward to presenting the update to you soon.
With the release of Thunder 3 the content management system becomes future-proof: Thunder 3 offers the technical basis for supporting future Drupal versions.

Was ist Thunder?
Alex: Das Team von Thunder entwickelt ein System, mit Hilfe dessen Unternehmen, insbesondere Verlagsunternehmen, Webseiten mit "fließendem Inhalt" erstellen können. "Fließender Inhalt" kann sich dabei bis zu mehrmals am Tag ändern. Zum Beispiel, Artikel, Blogeinträge oder News. Dieses System nennt sich "Thunder CMS" (Content Management System) und ist Open Source. "Open Source" bedeutet so viel wie, dass andere Personen das System angucken, verändern und nutzen können.

The Drupal Mountain Camp Switzerland 2019 took place between the 7th and 10th March 2019 in Davos with the motto “Open Source on the top of the world”. Thunder was present enjoying the wonderful community, ample opportunities to network and the exceptionally well organised event. “The organisers really came up with something good: typically Swiss food, a sleigh ride and a delicious cheese fondue in the evening. Attention was also paid to the smallest details. Hats and lip balm were included in the giveaways, a must for the cold weather outside.” explains Karlo, Thunder’s project manager.
